Border Trust, the Community Foundation for the Albury Wodonga Region and the Albury Northside Chamber of Commerce have announced a Community Investment Partnership which is Good for Business | Good for Community.
The Good for Business | Good for Community partnership recognises the benefit of businesses pooling their charitable giving to focus on an identified area of need within the community.
Every business will give $10 through their Chamber membership to the Border Trust. The Chamber is looking to raise close to $5000 through membership donations. These donations will then be used to give to an identifiable need in the business community, with the 2015 theme being “Young Business Leaders."
“The partnership will provide Chamber members with an effective way of supporting many local grass-roots programs”, said Border Trust’s Executive Officer, Glenys Atkins. “All businesses are approached every day for donations and this constant demand can become overwhelming and difficult to work through”.
