Local Champions Honoured: Regional Achievement and Community Awards launched

Parliamentary Secretary for Natural Resources and Regional Planning Rick Colless has launched the NSW/ACT Regional Achievement and Community awards in Wollongong today.
“These awards celebrate businesses, community groups and individuals across regional NSW, who are champions of their communities because it is these individuals, businesses and community groups that are the backbone of regional NSW,” Mr Colless said.
The NSW Government is proud to sponsor two awards recognising the reserve trust boards that manage publically-owned land such as parks and showgrounds.
“More than 8,000 crown reserves in NSW are managed by local councils, community volunteers and local organisations.
“The awards are one of the ways the Government says thank you to those who manage these vital community resources.
